THE WORK

The film „The Work“ is a work, which documents the work as male/female char in the house of affluent people and at the same time – using the means of artistical staging – transforms the hard, mechanical, monotonous and badly paid work into an absurd activity. Several short video samples show, how the various tasks are finished. In the masters´ presence, but without their knowledge the act of cleaning turns into a thrilling game. The domestic appliances and the exotic decoration of the house become toys and get a new meaning ... Finally, the anonymous cleaning staff starts arranging the reality in the house in its own way…
